The Route to Long Branch Cemetery.

Long Branch Baptist Church and Cemetery are located in Eastland County at the intersection of county roads 400 and 398.

The property is neat and well kept, and several of Mom's family are interred nearby.

 
It is remote and peaceful and surrounded by pretty countryside.  The Church is listed as a historical place, and bears an official state plaquered with the story beginning in 1804. 

I think it is a very suitable place for remembering Mom. 

Some of us are going to make the drive out in honor of her birthday September 28th, mid-morning.

It is about a three hour drive from our place, and there are no stores or services nearby, so take anything you might need with you.  The only "facilities" on the property is a genuine outhouse, so make a stop before you get there.
